An extensive collection of no less than 30 official Royal Air Force archive films from the 1950s - most of them previously unreleased. Presented in chronological order, these training, information, recruitment and instructional films give an unprecedented and in-depth insight into the breadth of RAF operations and squadrons during the 1950s and provide a glorious celebration of the early jet age. I was thinking of these early RAF jets the other day when my other half was watching the original footage of the coronation on the beeb. When the Queen was on the balcony after the event they had a fly-past by meteors? and RCAF Sabres. Beyond the fact there were quite a few planes (I dont think we could muster as many now),they said in the commentry that the RAF were to be equipped with the Sabres, were we?
