Big congratulations to Guernsey's own and former British Hill Climb Champion, BTCC Race winner and F3 Winner Andy Priaulx for winning the 2004 ETCC Championships, driving for BMW Great Britian he beat the works BMW's of Jorg & Dirk Muller and fought off the Alfa Romeo challenge in Dubai today to take the crown. He finished on the same number of points as Dirk Muller but because he won more races he takes the title. Priaulx finished 2nd in both of todays races.

wow! didnt know he had won it!

congratulations indeed and more than well deserved after Alfa Romeo's nasty tactics in previous races. I can remember him winning the British Hillclimb Championship and the all 17 races of the Renault Spider championship!

He'll also go down on record as the last winner as it becomes the World Touring Car Championships next year.

It's on Eurosport at 9:30 Sunday morning, so just stay up after the Japanese GP. Very impressed Andy won, reading his column in Autosport last week even he didn't fancy his chances.
