Just been felting the S prior to the Euro trip. Fresh oil and filter, brake fluid flush, a general check over and fitted my recently acquired 8 Spokes with new rubber. The old slots were OK, but me and the wife prefer them. Some before, midway and after shots.
Not long now folks, getting excited, not been abroad for years. drivingbounce
Cheers Al

Another one rubbing it in!! The eight spokes look great. The slots look like they were sprayed though as I thought they had a black centre??

I had 2 S's once , but never had them on the drive together, slightly different shades of blue. Kept one at the yard ,(rotate them)
The mrs comment was she never gave the one with slots , a second glance , but her beady eyes noticed the S with the 8 spokes ( I felt like I'v been caught with my pants down with a stripper) still convinced her , she was wrong..

They look great. I like the slots but think 8 spokes really suit the S and modernise it whilst maintaining some period integriy. The slots make the car look 10 years older.

TVR got it right.

Same for me. One thing ( of many) I like about the S is the instantly recognisable wheels- one of the few cars you could identify from a photo of a wheel.

Chin up Phillpot, Minilites were my choice, if I could not source the 8 Spokes.
I does make you instantly recognisable. Such when you passed the Quatt cafe heading towards Bridgenorth the other Sunday. My mate is that an S. I said it's not just an S that's Phillot's S. That exhaust note is stonking.
PS thanks for all the nice comments folks.
Cheers Al

Yes, minilites certainly look well on the S, they would be my choice after 8 spokes.

Nice one Chris - that's the point I guess. That is exactly how the slots SHOULD look, polished to perfection with the black in the centre (IMO of course).

When that pic was taken the wheels were brand new just out of the box!
