Hello:

I'm considering buying the 996 Cup in the link below from Paragon Porsche for export. Does anyone know the car and it's condition/history? I'd be interested in opinions on Paragon rebuilding the engine and gearbox and thier experience to do this:

Thanks,

Google Mark Sumpter racing driver, he owns Paragon ....

This car will likely be as good as it gets for a car of its type.....

I believe I was just behind you and Mark Chilton on the grid I believe in my maritime blue 944 S2? David Fissenden listed looking back at the results pdf. DNF in race 2 after dropping oil on the exit of Aintree and down the Wellington straight from memory and certainly fits with the results sheet. Possibly the reason for the engine rebuild?

Paragon always seem to have the nicest turned out cars.

Thanks for all the replies, I agree the car seems to be very nice based on the pics and Paragon's reputation.

Here in the USA (where the car will be Club Raced), there are only a handful of engine/gearbox builder's across the country I would trust the work to after Porsche Motorsports. I'm would be interested to know whether Paragon's technicians abilities and experience could be considered at the same high level? Or would you consider their facility for rebuilding your Water Cooled Porsche Race GT3 Engine & Gearbox?

Hi there.

Technically Paragon are competitors of ours but I would have no qualms in recommending them in relation to a vehicle such as this.

Mark Sumpter Paragon's owner will give an honest appraisal to you and there are few people more qualified to comment. He has bought a number of vehicles from the States so knows what it feels like to be on the other side of the fence.

I know pretty much all people involved in this car and they are all good guys. I've raced against it on a number of occasions. As with all race cars it will have had lots of work done over it's life, Mark will be able to give you a run down on how she sits at the moment and what if anything might need doing.

The last owner is a decent chap. A trackday veteran of many years who has dipped his toe in the water trying a bit of racing with the car.

There are few better places to buy a car like this here in UK.

Henry smile

Paragon also ran a GT3R --- so I guess the GT3 Cup will be fairly straightforward for them !

They have run everything from SC to GT3RSR. Mark is a good bloke and I think you'll find him very informative and they are very competent.

Hi, I have lots of pictures of the car on track if you would like them, sure Mark wouldn't mind, mostly leading the races!
