The car that sold recently for £40k now available again and still quite cheap!
Came out yesterday afternoon and I noticed it late yesterday evening. Unfortunately when I called this morning there was a guy on his way to see it - he ended up buying it.

Must have been with TH most of the year http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=115...
It was the TH car. The dealer selling it said he bought it 6 weeks ago, had some fun, and now decided to pass it on. I didn't mention I knew it had sold previously for £40K.
I did ask about over revs etc but the dealer didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I guess you have to take it at face value.

Were you enquiring about it for yourself? If so, come on, fess up, what was the 'real' reason for selling the blue Spyder, surely it couldn't have been for risk to license if you are GT3 shopping The car that sold recently for £40k now available again and still quite cheap!

I'm not going to turn down a bargain if it presents itself

I offered a deposit based upon viewing but he said there was someone on their way to see it.

hehe, just messing with you, that price would make anyone take notice, but there must be some serious question marks over that car. I remember considering a visit to view it when it was 'cheap' at £49k before buying the CR and here it is again but now seriously cheap.

You'd possibly think so but the dealer had no objection to my request for OPC inspection. He bought it cheaply so perhaps he was happy enjoying it for a month and then getting a quick sale and a grand or so in his pocket? If it was up at £49K it would probably still be there in 6 months! Miles and hard use kill GT3 prices.
a refresh is £10k to 15k they can swallow money.
I would just say the cars higher miles and might need a few things.
Plus of course no Bucket seats !!! which kills another 5k on the price like it or not.
Lol that's true if you're refreshing the car with gold bars in the boot!a refresh is £10k to 15k they can swallow money.

You're honestly suggesting a 'High mileage' car without buckets, should be priced at up to £20k less than a refreshed car?

t. We are supposed to buy these amazing cars and then ' Ooooo no you cant drive it too much as you'll add miles and overnight people wont touch it with a stick!'To be honest I'd rather have an honest well maintained, cherished vehicle than one that's sat, not moving with just the refresher maintenance. These cars need to be driven and are better for it!

I think Mr Demon is talking about the risk of needing an expensive diff rebuild, dampers or bushes. They can be worn out at 15k depending how the car has been used, but then an inspection by someone who knows GT cars would tell you whether that was the case or not. Saying every GT3 that's done 40k needs this work is a bit of a generalisation!

I agree with Mr Demon that some cars may need some work and you should budget accordingly, I just disagree that cars without buckets seats are worth £5k less (all else being equal)Pete
