Trackday Trophy
Team Trophy
CSCC Modern Classics
750 MC Roadsports
DDMC NSSCC

Lots of other Sports & Saloon Championships depending where you're based.

You shoukd just buy my car. It'll be cheaper and quicker. wink

Chasing signatures? Are you going for the ARDS instructor license?

No it's for my wife, after 30 yrs of seeing me have all the fun she has decided she wants a go. Am building a G15 for her but engine is going to be too late to get enough signatures to share a car with me next year so this car came up at the right price

The Elise will fit nicely into CSCC "Modern Classics" - you could share the car in 40 min races - and the G15, when its built, will fit in "Swinging Sixties". Again, 40 min races with a pit stop, so you could share with her in that too.

Thanks have registered there and requested similar info, also
Any advice on what is required to get the car up to spec for racing greatly received.
So far sorting cage and harness, guess it will need race seats but info on pads, lowering springs and anti roll bars and anything else greatly received
Better still if anyone wants to help beers provided in Ashbourne area!!

You have to go by the regulations for the series you're interested in. The websites for the series should have them available. No point spending money until you've done this otherwise you might build and "illegal" car.

I understand that but questions like are Gaz shocks better than Nitro, protech, monotube, twin tube etc etc, what spring rates/ lengths etc etc so that is the reason for the post to get some pointers pref from someone that has knowledge otherwise all too easy to waste money, its not about building the most expensive car its about building the best for a price and that's what I want the info for the regs don't give you that info, thanks

Just buy my car. I'll take yours in part ex. All the work is done. biggrin

If you PM me your number I'll give you a buzz when I've got two minutes and talk you through what's best. Regulations can make a difference on cage, tyres, damper specs, engine spec, depending in the series.

I replied to your note on Seloc with a few points. It would also be worth having a look on the Elise Trophy forum too as we regularly get quite a few Elises (and derivatives) on track at any one time and it would be the obvious place to start racing an Elise.
