I am slightly embarassed at having to ask this but to avoid pride before a fall here goes nothing:

I have bought some replacement clear side repeators. When removing the existing orange ones the socket they go into is much bigger than the hole in the fibreglass and also has a sprung retaining clip around it. So I cannot remove the orange bit as it is connected to a socket I cannot retrieve through the hole.

How then to replace these? I assume I need access to the inside of the wing. I'm asking as a search threw up a reference to this being a 2-minute job but not that I can see...

Thanks - that's a coincidence. So on my car the hole in the fibreglass isn't big enough for the black part to fit through.

I don't really want to drill it...

You should be able to pull the whole lot out as in the pic in the link.
