E93 M3 prices / depreciation over the next 18mths?

Hi,
I'm thinking about stepping into a Gen 2 E93 M3 for c£30-35k, but with the next gen m3 due next year, I was wondering if it would be a massive error?!
Where do you see it being priced in 18mths time?
(And also what are the benefits of the facelifted version over the earlier DCT models?)
