Ive had my Meta Alarm reprogrammed so I now have more fobs and boot release on them. However, when activating the alarm the siren didnt work.

I have installed another one which was lent to me by a fellow TVR owner but still have the same problem.

Is there anything that could have been missed to stop it working? I gave it a long time to charge so I suppose it could be knackered.

You mean it doesn't go "Beep, beep, beep, beep" in time with the flashers going on and off when you set it?

The four beeps is actually to tell you that the bonnet or boot isn't shut - my car used to do it because the sensor in the bonnet catch wasn't being operated by the catch. When Carl Baker changed my entire alarm for the new one (inc boot opener) he fixed that problem by adjusting the position of the sensor. Now I have two flashes for locking, lone for unlocking, no noises and sixty seconds to start the car. Yay!!!

As to the alarm now not sounding, that's a different issue. Have you sat in the car, locked it, waited five minutes and then started bouncing around? I seem to remember that it takes a minute or so to arm fully

On the siren there is a service setting to silence the alarm when it is being worked on. There's a key hole on the side of the siren usually covered by a rubber cover. You should have a key to fit it - on elf those barrel style keys.

From memory your need to insert the key and turn it through 90 degrees

Yes Ive sat in the car once fully set and managed to set it off by opening the door or waving arms, the indicators flash but no noise.

I couldnt see anything on the Siren itself to insert a key.
