Le Mans test day
Discussion
Firstly, the weather was foul with temperatures around 26C on Saturday afternoon then an enormous storm that flooded my village and after which temperatures were around 13C all Sunday, with light rain until around 4pm when things got very interesting as tyres went from wet to intermediate and then slicks, and times dropping from 3 mins 50 to 3 mins 20 by the close. Audi of course hold the first three places and the experimental #4 (It don't 'arf look evil in black too) running on smaller tyres yet still finishing with a time only 5 secs behind the pole time. I haven't had time to go through the photos in detail - there are 700 of them - and Photobucket is not allowing me to upload for some reason so I am trying out another site, and hopefully the few images I am now posting will show. I shall add to these as I get the hang of the new host's system. Anyway, hope it whets your appetite for the real thing!

And some pit lane ones from Saturday. You'll note from the new Michelin board that the race was already in full swing. The tool kit amused me - two large hammers?

ETA: Edited yet again and I seem to be getting the hang of this Imageshack account. Old dogs and new tricks and all that.

I understand lots of people aren't happy with some of the changes, but Flickr have just turned their system on its head and you can have 1TB storage for free. Personally I have no problems with Flickr and use that predominantly.
Nice set though, and as you say the #4 looked brilliant in black. T-minus 7-days for me, hurrah!

Is there any video footage of the testing
Not from me though! We were given a right warning during the press briefing since it is big bucks to have a video licence, and with pro SLR's now having HD we are possibly going to be checked up on, which will lead to an early bath if caught. Anyway, my D3 hasn't got video thankfully, unlike the D4. I'm getting old and can't see the reason now to upgrade further than what I have.Gassing Station | Le Mans | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
