Plans are in hand for this airframe is to be removed from storage to be put back on display at the Vanguard Storage building on the Western Avenue. It is more than ten years since it was last seen, a hugely impressive sight when commuting in or out of town on the A40. It will be good to see it back!

Excellent....be good to see her up there again.

Shame the roof wasn't big enough/man enough to accomodate the Lightning F.3 biggrin

WT555 was one of the development airframes so is of historical significance. Would it not be better preserved somewhere less exposed than a roof top?

It will be on display for a while, it is the first time it has seen the light of day for about ten years. The wind had picked up this morning but there was no drama, it is great to see from the Western Avenue.

Which is the Surrey town that's got one on a pole? I's rather hidden around the back of some not-very-pleasant part of the town centre.

Is that not just a mock-up in Woking? The proportions do not look right.
