morning all

I managed to severely bend my thumb back last night (turning the shower off!!), it made a loud crack/twang noise. Anyway this morning I can't press even slightly on the inside of the thumb, so can't open jars, squeeze sauce bottles and more importantly can't shake hands without wincing in pain.
It's sore if i press on the inside, where the meaty part of thumb is, and around the base. I can only barely bend the thumb.

Shaking hands is the important bit because later today and tomorrow I have a couple of important meetings and must be able to shake hands. What's the best thing do you think? Spray on heat treatment, pain relief gels or basic ibuprofen pills? Heading off to work in an hour...need a quick fix!!

cheers

dont really know what else as if your working you dont really want to be off you head on strong painkillers.

movalat cream is avail by pescription only i think, but is really good stuff.
