Do the seats bolt straight to the floor in a fhc?

good, someone else removed the seats and in one of the boxes of bits there are two lenghts of wood taped together that are marked drivers seat, both with holes that correspond to the seat mounting holes, i can only assume that was someone elses way of raising the seat height

Did some cars come with strengthening plates under the seats?

I bought a couple off ebay for a £1 a few years ago, still haven't got round to fitting them - were they standard or had someone made them up?

Mine was raised on what can only be described as an assortment of metal bits including a metal house number. 6 or 7 if memory serves, wonder what was the better number for this job?

Replaced the lot with a big chunk of aluminium plate, seeing the assorted bits had made the original holes bigger...

Aha, are they painted black? My old Tasmin had two lengths of about 1" square wood, drilled through and painted black, to lift the seats off the floor... so that's factory standard, that is biggrin
