Given all the talk about Xbox One vs. PS4 I'm curious to know how many folk own only one of the current MS / Sony offerings.

I'm far from a huge gamer, but me and the wife own both the Xbox360 and the PS3,and when you think that we've had them both for 4 years or more the initial cost is pretty insignificant, given both have had exclusives we've wanted to play. The Xbox360 has certainly occupied the main share of our time, but the PS3 has still been worth the money for the hours of gameplay we've had from it.

So whilst I'm leaning towards the PS4 over the Xbox One we'll likely end up with both over their life cycle, even in spite of the misgivings I have over the direction MS has taken things.

Both here - Skyrim, TDU and Forza on Xbox, GT5 on PS3.

probably won't get either PS4 or Xbox one, the name and "features" the main reasons why not for Xbox one, and Nothing on it so far which appeals for PS4.

Have both but only the 360 gets any use for gaming. Bought the PS3 for the occasional game (Uncharted series) but mostly as a Bluray player. No reason to own both new consoles as PS4 adds nothing new hardware-wise and the Xbox will always get the nod due to Xbox Live, maintaining friends list etc. If it wasn't for this a PS4 would be on order as I'm not that happy about the used game lock and that Kinect ste.

Wish they'd release a stripped out Xbox which does nothing apart from play games, I couldn't give a toss about social networking, streaming etc and, even if I did, I have numerous other devices which do it better.

I've got a PS3, although I do all my gaming on PC at the moment. If I do buy a next gen console the PS4 is looking the one to get at the moment to me, and I don't have any particular brand loyalty.

I'm not one for computer games other than old 80's Arcades.

Wife bought me an Xbox 1 when they came out, the lad loved it, didn't really play games on it but XBMC was great.
Wife then bought me an Xbox 360, the lad loved it, I thought it was hideous to use and impossibly noisy.
Wife then bought me a PS3, it's lovely and quiet and the BD player is great, made a reasonable media centre, the lad tends to play more with the Xbox though.
Wife then bought me an ATV, is great, gets used daily, makes a great media player with Plex.

Not touched any of the consoles in a long time, the lad doesn't much now either, generally prefers his PC.

My wife knows I don't play computer games, however no doubt I'll get bought the new consoles when they appear.

PS3 in the spare room, PS3 in the 'library' (ha!) and xbox360 & wii in the living room. Barely use the xbox anymore, the fan sounds like a jet taking off.

Have both, but don't think I will bother getting either of the new ones. Drifted away from gaming.

Got both (well technically bought the 360 3 times and the 3rd one has now also died!)
always used the xbox for gaming over the PS3 which to be honest was bought on the 'imminent release' og GT5, which came about 3 year later!
However I will only be buying the PS4 on release, the xbox might, if forza is stunning enough, be a buy when the price drops.

I have a 360 only (on my second one). My other half has both.

I had PSX > PS2 prior to the xbox, but I was working at EA at the time when PS3 / Xbox 360 came out - and was so impressed with the 360, I converted. So I'm not a fanboy either way, just picked the 360 as it was the superior console, but this time around I'm going PS4 as MS have dropped the ball with the Xbone.

I may get the Xbox at a later date if it's better than it sounds, but I certainly wont be rushing out to buy it.

Owned both.

Had an Xbox since shortly after they launched, bought the PS3 solely for Gran Turismo 5. Sold after I'd become bored with GT5 as it felt massively under supported in comparison to the Xbox, poor online ergonomics, unappealing exclusive titles, horrible controller, etc.

Sold the Xbox last year and focused back on PC gaming, as it was beginning to feel rather long in the tooth.

We have both. Bought the wife a PS3 so she could play Final Fantasy etc. Tried GT5 on it but couldn't stand it.

I prefer MS generally, but to be honest I spend most of my time playing on the PC these days.

I shan't be in a rush to acquire either a PS4 or Xbone, but will probably just get whatever my friends do to maintain the friends list etc.
