Well as most know on here I have had my fair share of 911's (Turbo's GT's etc)
I have now decided to settle on a keeper (well for longer than 12 months anyway )& have set my heart on finding a nice 3.2 coupe or a stunning SC
Obviously condition/history is key over colour/spec so if anybody has a nice example and or wants a possible deal on a stunning 996 Turbo, PM please.

Ha ha, no i'm just after another classic car.
I don't buy into this air or water nonsense just love them all, but yeah fancying an IB car again.

I think between an old school 3.2 Carrera and a 987 Boxster are the most interesting cars from Porsche.
The rest are great I'm sure, but don't interest me.


(Oh and the CGT - but I can't afford one of those )

Still the best IMO the 3.2, especially in Guards Red with the Turbo Fuchs and spoiler.

I looked and looked for a great 3.2 and only found one .... which I missed because I oohed and aahed. Ended up buying a cheaper one with good provenance from someone I trust (it was Nick Fulljames' car)and then bring it up to my desired spec. It is going to be my new daily driver -and still work in progress, see here:

Late SC with the turbo spoiler ... Lovely. Not keen on the other spoilers personally on the earlier SC or later 3.2

What's the stuff you have put in kidney bowls etc, I always used to wax oil mine, is this better?
Certainly doesn't look as messy

As per piccy - recommended by fellow DDker who has a bodyshop. Bit more modern that Waxoyl and spreads better. Not sure if works any better though.

I always do the obligatory wheels off and give them a good clean, so will invest in some of this.

It's not the turbo spoiler (having owned a 930), but it's close.

The turbo one has the sides of the spoiler at the same level as the back, to help force the air through the AC rad and intercooler, and also of course it's much further back at the base - the intercooler lives in there and you need the space for that and to be able to close the hatch.

The 3.2/SC looks just as good IMO, but it's not the same
Also note any rear spoiler needs the corresponding air damn at the front to suck the front down in tandem with the back being pressed down by the wing... for people who want to add these bits later. I.e. make sure you add them both as a pair.

What sort of history do they have for that car though?

You should have kept your 930 IMO!
