Does anybody know where the lamba sensor is situated on a Tuscan and can anybody suggest where I might get replacement. Apparently there are non on the country and TVR cannot give any indication as to when they might be available. My car has just failed the MOT on emmissions and I have been advised that the Lamba sensor failing is the most likely cause.

Two options try a more " TVR friendly" testing station
or try a universal sensor from these guys:
www.buypartsby.co.uk/ choose "lamda sensors" from the online bit on the left, from memory i think you need a two coloured one? after all i don`t see TVR making sensors of there own

Mine went and I had no problem with replacement. The symptons were that it wouldn't start again once warmed up. The wrong signals were being conveyed to the engine management system and it thought it was flooded with petrol when it wasn't. Prior to that I had many EFI codes together with hearing the engine racing on idle.
there are two lambdas on the Tuscan both on the pipes from the manifold.
You can use the NTK 3 wire units from the likes of Partco or Andrew Page on the earlier models the later models have a much bigger unit which you will need to remove to get a match.
The TVR units are made by NTK.
I do know that Hexham Horseless Carriages has some of the originals in stock.
Hope this helps

very easy to change, simply unscrews from the exhaust and plugs into the wiring under the bonnet.
If you are using a universal one you will need to identify the wiring and make a join but no real problem.I have an adapted universal one at home and could give you the details if needed.
