Road & Track cover for E92 M3
Discussion
Hi everyone
I've also posted this in the BMW / M Power section, but I may get some suggestions here... Hope that is ok
I've recently moved from a Porsche 996 to an E92 M3. Really enjoying it, but want to get on track. It's a new car and is contract hire, so I can't take the risk of not insuring the car on track. Been quoted 1% plus 10% excess from a few insurers for one-off cover. This is too expensive on a recurring basis, so I've been looking for a combined road and track policy.
I did a search on the forum and there are a few good suggestions, however the companies seem to be limited to 2 seaters or perhaps 2+2s. Has anyone recently managed to get combined road and track cover for their E92 M3? Which companies are quoting for this risk?
cheers, Martin

"Competition car insurance" do road and 5/6 track days included. Spa included in it I've also posted this in the BMW / M Power section, but I may get some suggestions here... Hope that is ok

You might just be limited in anual mileage thought, 7000 or 10000 not sure.
Very competitive , paid £600 for a CSL, 650 for a Viper and a friend paid £1000 i think for a 430 full incl.
Eduardo.
Didn't manage to find anyone to cover me for a couple of UK track days and 2 x 3-day 'Ring trips a year.
Tried CCI and they wouldn't even quote as the car I wanted cover for was my daily driver doing 25k a year of business/leisure mileage.
Really want a all-inclusive policy as paying £250 a day for what might turn out to be a closed day the 'Ring due to snowy/foggy/frosty conditions is not fun.

Thanks Eduardo. CCI seem to be one of the companies that will only cover 2-seaters. Think the CSL is a 2-seater, which may account for why you got cover and I can't seem to on my standard M3.

I don't need the millage as I'm limited to 8k per year on my rental agreement anyway, however I'm with you 100% on the day by day policy costs. There must be something reasonable out there!Tried CCI and they wouldn't even quote as the car I wanted cover for was my daily driver doing 25k a year of business/leisure mileage.

An M3 CSL is a 4 seater. Did you call CCI ? I had a Mustang with them too a 4 seater again!?
Eduardo.
