Multi-Platform Games: PS3 vs. PS4 - 360 vs. XBO
Discussion
I've been mulling over a couple of questions and wondered if anyone knows the answer to them ... There seems to be fair few games that will be released on both current-gen and next-gen consoles; Watch Dogs, GTA 5, Battlefield 4 etc.
The question is, will these games look better on the next-gen consoles, with current-gen consoles receiving a graphically 'cut down' version, or have they been tailored to run specifically on the current-gen and next-gen with similar graphics?
Also, will PS3/360 players be able to play online against PS4/XBO players and visa-versa?
Cheers!

Having seen the E3 video of watchdogs being played on the PS4 I would say yes, they will be different graphically at least (can't see the PS3 managing the quality of the graphics)
As for cross console... They have never bothered before and I can't see them even bothering to try now. I can't imagine Microsoft wanting to open their servers to communicate with the PSN and vise versa.

Ah, no. Sorry! I meant 360 gamers playing against XBO gamers, or PS3 gamers playing online with PS4 gamers ...

The games aren't cross-gen for any console I don't think.
Theres only been one game in the past that was that I can think of, some Microsoft game that PC players and 360 players could play together. I think they shut the servers down after not much time though!
Also from what I'v seen so far GTA 5 isn't even coming out next gen, they said they don't need to release it next gen because the market is still big enough with PS3 and 360.
