Ackworth Gala charity day for Laura's Leg's, cars required,

Would anyone with a sporty type car be able to attend the Ackworth Gala Day on Saturday June 29th and help raise some money for Laura's Leg's?

I've done charity rides for the Sporting Bears at the NEC Classic Car show and the the CPOP but have decided to do something a bit more personal and closer to home this year. It would be nice to have some cars parked near the stall to get some passing interest so if people are happy to park for the event then that would be great.

The gala runs from 11am to 4:30pm and I'll be there all day offering rides in the Vette. Maybe you could just offer an hour or two, anything would be appreciated. Please either reply here or email me through PH.

I've got a Repsol Liveried Escort Cosworth and providing that I can get it back on the road in the next week or so, I will be pleased to come over with it

Hopefully we'll be able to put a few smiles on peoples faces and raise a bit of money for Laura.

Also, if you're in the area and could come down to enjoy a ride in one of the cars that would be much appreciated. More people, more cars, more money for Laura's Leg's.

I have a HSV R8 (vauxhall vxr8), which although isn't as sporty as a Ferrari or anything, it still turns heads wherever I go.

Definitely! I remember doing Dream Rides at the NEC and the Monaro there was always heading out the door doing rides. I'll get in touch after Le Mans with more details. The more cars we have the more chance of making money for Laura's Legs.

Just checked the ol' diary with the boss and it appears I'm going to this also for a family day out!

Yep, will get a map of the area scanned along with contact details and send it out today or tomorrow. Working from home today (post Le Mans) so no access to a printer.

Will do. I'll send you an email with details and a suggested route. That way if you can pop down you'll know where to go and not end up driving into the display arena.
