How many left?
Discussion
The website 'how many left' states the following.
Cars either taxed or sorned are registered here, are cars under restoration sorned?
280s 150 left
290s 357 left
V8S 31 left
In 2001 277 280s's were about, 558 290s's and surprisingly 33 V8s's
Does this sound about right? I read somewhere about 2600 were built

I reckon they are way low personally. I have seen more than 20 V8s in circulation myself, and there are 70 + registered here on pistonheads; and I doubt pistonheads has captured them all - not every petrol head is on here. I think its a bit more optimistic than the DVLA would believe

I think many were registered by TVR as a 290S.lewdon said:
My V5C shows my 2.9 S2 registered as a model 280S, so lots of variations registered at the DVLC
.Thats the same as mine, I tried filling in the form to amend but came back unchanged, apparently it was a Tasmin on some paperwork and one of those HPI check sites has the registration as being a Skoda Fabia.. So not reliable info from anywhere really.
