Sonos vs Logitech Bluetooth adapter

I know how the Sonos system can be built up to work in separate rooms but really I have just been looking for a way to stream Spotify via my old Nad and AR speakers system. Cost around £400 back in 1985 but still working

So I have ummed and arred about spending £250 odd on a Sonos Connect which you then control wirelessly via the phone. Currently I connect to the amp via a 3.5mm jack to phono and have to sit to one side of the system and not be able to slouch on the sofa but I have just seen this:

£25 in Currys so I'll be able to sit on the sofa and control the tracks via the phone. Same as the Sonos or will it be?

I'm wondering about sound quality. Chap at a good local HiFi shop told me that the Sonos would not sound perceptively better than my current set up of the 3.5 to phono wire but would the Bluetooth be any worse?

Got it! £22 so worth the risk and it's good. Only problem using the phone is wearing down the battery and when the odd text/email/call comes through but I have an old HTC Desire so I'll just make that the dedicated controller/streamer and hey presto!

I've just saved myself nearly £250

No worries

The HTC has been dug out from under the bed, given a charge, factory reset and Spotify downloaded. It is now working as my music controller for my Hifi.
