Where are the good ice cream shops?

Well with it being a bit warmer the urge for ice cream has awakened inside me.
Any good ice cream shops/ parlours in good location. A nice drive out with an ice cream pit stop would be a good way to pass the time.
Local one to me is Rays in Swindon Town Centre so not a great drive. Failing that there is Fortes in Cheddar Gorge (more of a cafe but they do huge ice creams).

Davisons Ice Cream in Peel is well worth a visit if you ever come to the Isle of Man.

Reeth, in the Yorkshire Dales. Good ice cream and, if the weather is good, sit on the village green looking at the scenery. It's also a good excuse to go for a hoon.
Sheringham main street, close to the sea front. Not the one in an amusement arcade, lower down than that. Loads of brilliant flavours. Going there in a few weeks time, when we eat out, we don't have dessert, we go for an ice cream.

S. Luca in Mussleburgh is the main one around Edinburgh. Im yet to go to one of the parlours but you can get the ice cream from a lot of vendors in town so I can vouch that the ice cream is amazing

Winstone's at Rodborough Common just outside Stroud. Just a little shop attached to the ice cream factory selling lots of lovely flavours. On a sunny day it seems like the entire population of Stroud suddenly decides to go and buy a cone or two.

Ah, but they're just an Brymoor ice-cream outlet though - if you want the good stuff, 'straight from the cow', the Brymoor farm shop is at High Jervaulx in Wensleydale. Still a fine hoon an any of the roads round there.

If you are ever in Devon you must go and try this place, http://www.honitonicecream.com/ the ice cream is all made in house and there at least 40 flavours which are all to die for. They even make their own "whippy" in house. The only down side is they dont open all year round.

+1 for Chin Chin Labs. I used to work a 5 minute walk away and they used to make icecream with our beers. Yum.
