My favourite bird, very prized in Victorian times as cage birds.

If one is around, likelihood is that other members of the charm aren't far away. We have a bunch nesting in our neighbours' garden.

Does anyone know what type of bird makes a chirping noise that sounds like:

"potato potato potato potato potato potato potato potato"

It would be good to know what the potato bird actually is.

I know the one, there's one local here. Might be a tit, a big mashed potato tit.

Goldfinch, as above.

Beautiful birds.

Scabious in your garden will attract them since they love the seeds.
