Is Black the new Blue ?
Discussion
I have just downloaded and printed the spottersguide from here http://www.spotterguides.com/2013-wec/ and cannot fail to notice how many cars especially in LMp1 and 2 are predominantly black !
Not sure why this should be ?

As part of the eco drive, as I'm sure you aware black soaks up more of the sun's rays than other colours. They then use the additional energy for more power, it's why they're all heading towards hybrid power......
Except in real car world and California (I think) where they were planning on reducing the number of black cars to reduce emissions from air con use to cool the extra heat generated or something like that..................Stef

Not sure about your theory here, absorbing the sun as heat is unlikely to be of any use in efficiency terms (apart from quicker warm up of your road car in the morning maybe on the 3 days a year when the sun is up) Internal combustion engines waste enough in heat as it is !Maybe it is just that they look more stealthy ;-)
