Anyone fitted 285/35's to the rear?

I want to fit some wider road tyres but 285/30's would seem to be too small in diameter and I'm a bit wary of going to 295's as my wheels have a slightly wider than standard offset. Even 295/30's are still 9mm smaller in diameter. (Theoretically anyway - I'm sure different brands/tyres will turn out to be different sizes.)

285/35's will be bigger than standard diameter though frown

Although they will get smaller with wear biggrin

I've had 285/30 and 295/30, the 295s clear no problem but I trimmed the clam rest by 15mm to give extra room when the suspension compresses

i had a wider offset wheel and fitted 295/30's.. no rubbing as the rears rub on inside of rim not outside.

the rr was slightly smaller than the 265/56's however
