Bob Dylan 3 nights in Glasgow

Got tickets this morning for Dylan at Clyde Auditorium. 18th, 19th and 20th November.

TicketSoup had the first two nights and Ticketmaster for the 3rd.

The tickets ain`t cheap tho , as much as i would like to tick seeing dylan of my bucket list the ££ is a bit expensive for me

This will be the 29th, 30th and 31st time of seeing Dylan.

Ticket prices are quite bad and when you add on the booking fee it's a bloody rip off.

i am a massive dylan fan but seeing him in concert has not lived up to expectations.

Best to go with no expectations and then it's usually really good.

As you know it's certainly not a multimedia experience with Video and Fireworks etc. You get what you get which is a kick ass band and Dylan.

Been 5ft from him at Newcastle 2000 and from just about all sections in venues all over the place. Seen him on good nights and bad nights and often one night after the other is totally different. Newcastle 2002 I was ready to walk out and it was one of the worst Dylan gigs I've ever been to. Following night in Manchester it was one of the best I've been to.

So there's always a chance he'll pull a rabbit out the hat and put on a great gig.

i don't expect videos and fireworks. a video screen would be nice though, especially when playing arenas.

what i do expect is for an artist, any artist, to show up for a gig. he's a shadow of what he used to be.

Yes he can be very hit and miss now than in the past although the gig we went to in Brooklyn last November was very good. Very clear voice for some reason.

The European Tour in 2000 was superb and just about every gig was very good if not excellent.

Some nights he is awful (I walked out of an Earls Court 1991 show in his "gospel' years). Some nights he is incandescent. You pay your money and you take your chance. He's been annoying audiences for 50 years ("JUDAS"!) He does it on his own terms. No other artist could get away with it (ignoring the audience, making up tunes on the fly, changing the set every night so sometimes even the band don't know what is coming next). That's the magic.

I went to Shephard's Bush ten years ago or so, when he did "Quinn the Eskimo" for the second time ever. That was pretty bizarre, but an awesome gig. Smaller venues usually seem to be better, but I guess it'll be the Albert Hall for me this year.

I saw him at the NEC about 10 years ago. He was OK. I am thinking about going to the Albert Hall ticket prices are not that bad in comparison to others nowadays

Which has WHAT to do with paying to see him live?

Honestly, most of the songs were unrecognisable anyway, he could have been doing the complete works of Iron Maiden for all I could tell...

Interesting? Well, if you find a multi-millionaire performer being unable to be arsed to make any effort for a hall full of paying customers 'interesting', yes. I found it interesting that he could be such a money grabbing tt personally, but I guess the times have a changed since he was the voice of protest rather than just another washed up has been performer well past his sell by date.

It was the worst concert I've ever attended. I felt cheated, robbed and treated with contempt.
