Busy preparing the 400se for BBWF and noticed that the bulkhead bearing is quite worn (also can feel it when moving the steering wheel up and down).

Can anyone help me out on the partnumbers for the bulkhead bearing and the steering UJ's?

Thanks in advance and hopefully see you at BBWF!

Hi Mate...You could try David gerald for the UJ's but he will probably ask you to measure the length of the UJ thats needed..Also the outer diameter of the steering column and joining shafts..There are several different types...Not sure on the bulkhead bush biut im sure someone can point you in the right direction..Cheers..Ziga

Bulkhead bearing:
There is an article on the wedgepages to replace the plastic stuff (if you have that) with a metal bearing (did that this year on my 350i). From the article you can find what parts are to be used.
If you have the later ford steering column (probably, has a triangular shape), think that there are some part numbers for it, but don't have them unfortunately. Perhaps a google search on pistonheads can come up with more information.
