Mercedes CLK 320
Discussion
Update: July 2013
Merc has been pressed into motorway muching duties with a few trips from SW London up to North West and Derbyshire. Extremely comfortable to drive in, relaxing to drive and returning decent consumption @ 33mpg (motorway) approx. Need to take a few more pics I know! Only bork related issue is the sunroof, which I am sure is stuck through lack/no use since new. However, as the aircon is ice cold it is no big problem.
Up next month is a road trip to Brittany which should rack up a couple of thousand miles! Certainly more pics then.

Yikes, was a bit short on info, apologies.
'98 CLK 320, 43k miles, one owner from new, FSH, 5spd auto, full electrics in full working order (seats + heated, mirrors, windows, sunroof). Bodywork is very good, small 5p spots of rust on arches, but hasn't spread. AMG wheels (assume real!) upgraded hifi with nav. Just over £2.5k.
Performance wise v6 gives great spread of torque and with a boot will kick forward nicely. Plenty of room for 4, only 2 seats in the back, middle is an arm rest. By no means a B-road blaster, but ideal for what I use it for, and a great deal of car for next to no money.

Quick update and some more pics.
2 week holiday in France, 1350 miles, still need to calculate MPG, but went through some litres!
. Will post receipts later.
Car ran like clockwork and gave no problems. Driving in France was so easy, lovely smooth motorways and drivers who understand lane discipline. Amusingly some do tailgate, the worst offenders were in tiny cars whose engines must have been close to redline!
Some minor things to add to snag list: new wiper blade, as I found out during torrential rain heading home. Most annoying was less than an hour from home, after 8 hours driving, large bang and a cracked windscreen. Merde!
Anyway, some pics

Insert German invasion joke here...

Can't believe last post in here was over a year ago!
Current mileage has just ticked over 52,000 and car has been treated to a new set of boots, Continental Sport Contact 5's. Did some shopping around and got a good price ~£480 for 4 tyres (2x 225/45, 2x 245/40 17"). Appreciably less tyre noise from the previous contact 3's - which were probably some years old.
Couple of minor niggles on the todo list:
1) Drivers mirror heated glass replacement
2) Intermittent reversing light - suspect switch in the gear selector needs renewing
3) Sunroof - still to be sorted
4) Brakes - looking to refurb the calipers and repaint to black when I replace the pads/discs before the end of the year.
5) Alloy wheel refurb - ashamed to rub the side of a curb parking the other week, so that will need some TLC
All in all for a 16 year old car not too bad! Couple of pics to follow.
