New addition to the stable

Most people have commented on how squat it looks Rob.
As for depreciation, look at the Autocar predictions & I could have made 10k today by giving the keys to someone else, although personally I don't care because I'll either chop it for the rumoured -R version in 3 years time or just keep it.

I've not been keen on all the ones I've seen of this. But I really like it in that colour. But I have a thing for burgundy cars. Had a burgundy Porsche so e years back and even got a kitchen to match it. Lol
it's "Italian Racing Red" and alas the photo is nothing like the real world colour due to normal camera issues with red cars.joust said:

Justin, actually I was pleasantly surprised at, and prefered, its larger than expected size (I can now see a problem for the XK8). IMHO, the pre-marketing has all been hype though. Re the price, sure you could have made £10K offloading it on delivery (I think you should have and then found another - not that hard to locate) but that's the same with many pre-launch hyped-up motors. I suspect that in 18 months it'll lose £20K as it isn't recession-proof.
Anyway, whatever anyone says about it, and apart from its IMHO excessive cost, I found it an enjoyable ride as I'm sure you are too

Never really sure about red cars, but Joust that looks a million dollars.
Personally i'd put sides on the garages to stop the dust even when dry, and horizontal rain, but a cool looking setup.
Also, reminded me to get back in touch with Kim Valeting at your recommendation last year, which I have just done!!
Cheers

Alas I can't put sides on it due to being in Greenbelt - I can only get away with these because you can physically move them just by unbolting the legs from the ground and getting six people and hence are "temporary structures".Personally i'd put sides on the garages to stop the dust even when dry, and horizontal rain, but a cool looking setup.

The red is much deeper than normal and doesn't go orange in the sun - thanks for the kind words.

Wow, didn't realise they get funny about garages out there! Shame. But 'temporary' structure better than nothing. And quite fun being able to see them all the time.
The deep red looks great mate. Quality of the paint job looks thick and deep too.
One day would love an Aston Martin garage to respray my noble. (the finish on my father's DBS Volante is stunning) But that would add a few kilos in paint no doubt! ha

20k in 18 months would make it market leader, including above 911s. There is bugger all that loses <30% after 18 months in this sector, many lose 40%+.J

Personally I know I'm closer to Monkey's view on cars, which is what I've found in practice. There is nothing, and I mean nothing, that prepared me for when I finally floored it through the tunnel on the way back from Le Mans, primarily because it had just tripped over 1200 miles and hence I could given the running in schedule.
It's a 13/10 car.
