I'm sure one of you media experts can help me.

We are redoing the bedroom and I would like a new TV, looking at 47" or 50" for the space max.
I'm guessing the plasma will be better in the dark room, but it looks liem Panasonic have upgraded the interface in the 2013 TV's by a large margin.

After a bit of looking i've come up with these two:
Panasonic 50" Plasma (2012)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-TX-P50ST50B-50-i...

or

Panasonic 47" LED (2013)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-Viera-TX-L47ET60...

or

Panasonic 50" Plasma (year unknow, but I think 2013)

Does anyone have any thoughts on which one or maybe you know of something better?
I'm limiting myself to a budget of £900 as we already have a 60" all singing and dancing in the living room.

Don't know about TVs that big but our Sony 32" adjusts its brightness according to ambient lighting. I suspect others may also do it.

are you will to drop down to 42 inch? as the GT50B is almost as good as the much talked about VT50B on here and is in your price range:

I'm always curious how much TV people watch in bed to justify the size and cost, or is it part of night-time games.

Just to close this out.

I purchased the Panasonic P50ST60B 50" and its brilliant.
However I fitted it into the snug, and moved the 42" into the bedroom that was there.

Yesterday's F1 was a tread on the new set, and a drastic improvement from the LED.
