Ok, now I see how people put lincolns in profiles, but back to the list - it looks strange for me if there are Lada or Trabant or Facel Vega or Motobi (etc etc) on list, or at last Mercury (its closer to Ford, more than Lincoln), but no Lincoln, and as result somebody has to describe "Ford Lincoln Mk VIII". Its something like you have to describe "Ford Jaguar XJR V8 Supercharged" (or imagine "Leyland Jaguar XJ" or "Tata Jaguar XK" if you prefer

IMHO you simple wrong about Lincoln (it was independent, shortly; started by former Cadillac manager, bought by Ford in 1922, separated until 1940).And even if you right, if this was argument against Lincoln as dependent, non-historical, and marketing only brand, why so-independent so-historical Lexus is on list?
But ok, ok, it doesnt matter, this is not list of 'somewhere-somehow-sometimes-old-enough-noble-and-independent' manufacturers, even its not list of manufacturers but simple list of more or less popular marques (at least its described 'marque' not manufacturer). Lack of Lincoln in presence of Mercury (and in presence all brands of GM, and Lexus, and tons of very dead brands, and 'independent' communists manufacturers) its difficult to explain other than small mistake, which nobody cares, only me
