Hey folks, I'm heading to a track day in the very near future with a mate of mine who is a little concerned about any minimum time you need to have held your UK drivers license for. His problem is that he's just exchanged a foreign (non EU) license for a UK license hense the start date is like two weeks ago on is shiny new license.
Any thoughts?
He's also planning on hiring a track day car, same question appies really.

Cheers.

^^^^^^ What he said, I am fairly sure there isn't one.

As long as you have one, that is all that matters.

Thanks guys, will pass that one, I checked various Ts&Cs as well and cannot find any reference to time frame.

From the standard of some driving that I have seen over the years - one wonders if this isn't a regular occurrence... rolleyes

My wife did her first bike track day 1 month after passing her test (on a borrowed bike too!)

It'll be fine.

I did my first track day when I was 17, never heard of there being any limits on time licence held. Road driving and track driving are so different I can't see what good any restrictions like that would do.

He hasnt just passed his test, so whilst the licence may be new, it isnt a new licence.
