OMG I've gone and done it, after looking around for a few months just agreed to purchase my first TVR. A rather nice red 96'Cerb. Still grinning from the test drive :-) Not getting it till the end of the week. recon I may be back on here rather a lot! Any recomendations about getting 2nd car insurance would be apreciated. Many thanks.
2nd car insurance...hmmm - i had some trouble.
The only companies i found that catered for split/shared no claims require you to be over 30 yo to insure a cerbera. So unfortunately i had to do the following :-
10yrs NCB on Cerbera with Direct line - £690
0 NCB on Mondeo with Tesco - £410 (3rd party only!!!)

same as me, £480 3rd party for a diesel cav, £499 for the tusc fully comp.
What co's do mirrored bonus?
Admiral mirrored our NCB for us. As long as you stay with them for the year, you can then walk away with two sets of full NCB (assuming you start with full NCB). They won't protect the NCB on the second car though. Still, not a bad deal I reckon.
Edited to say, congrats on the car purchase !

Congratulations..... be sure to post pics of your car when you've got it. I'm sure you'll find a wealth of info on this forum, as I have.

both Fully Comprehensive.

Just spoken to a TVR fan at Norwich Union, the lad managed to get me a great deal -
£660 for my BMW 520 no NCB and
£720 for the Cerb with 5yrs NCB
and £62 for full relay roadside cover for the Cerb. far better than two weeks ago when they asked be to spell TVR - same company - different agent !!!
