My car has just come back from Neil Garners having had Nitrons fitted all round and the geometry properly setup, and it has been transformed.

The best bit so far is that the bump steer has gone, this was quite severe when i first got the car and was lessened when i changed from 18" to 17" wheels. I had been thinking of some sort of bump steer kit but I now don't need one. This all suggests to me that the Cerb is much more sensitive to the accuracy of the setup than other cars i have owned and does seem to require proper four wheel alignment rather than just getting the tracking right.

I cant see how or why the setup could be sufficiently far out to give excessive bump steer but it definitely was before and isn't now. The car also now appears not to tramline or follow road camber which it did before.

Anyway thanks to Neil Garner this is the greatest single improvement to the car so far. And if you have bump steer and all the other faults in handling get the suspension setup (and a decent set of shocks) before you go about moving racks and rods around.

What spring rates did you go for Ian?

I just went for the standard setup which is 400lb/in fronts and I think 350lb/in rears. The car is obviously stiffer than on the factory setup and i am not sure I would want to go any harder on the sort of bumpy roads around here but I havent drive enough to get the feel properly yet. Its going to take me a few weeks to sort out the extra rattles that have appeared.

Thanks Ian, I went for 450f 375r, which I increased a bit from the original recommendation of 400f and 325r.
