OK so lots of discussion so far - now let's get some stats. Has MS really blown it with their restrictions and dubious privacy policies?

Who is getting what?

I am an XBOX Fanboi so obviously going for the One with tin foil hat accessory pack.

Where's the 'None, sticking with my (better) PC thanks' option?

How much did your whole PC setup cost compared to a games console?

I would imagine that's the largest factor as to why people stick to consoles

Not really relevant, my PC is good for my work too. Plus surely we PC gamers should have space in the poll, cost notwithstanding.

I am going for the PS4 this time round. I have a 360 and PS3 and the 360 gets 95% of my gaming time at present. For me the £80 saving for what looks to be superior hardware specs seems a great deal (aside from all the other restriction stuff).

I do think Xbox live is great but it's actually quite good news imo that Sony are now charging for online services. Thats what was always lacking on the PS3, and now they charge hopefully we will see big improvements with the online infrastructure.

As for comparing what both are currently offering I see it as pretty irrelevant. The hardware has a lot of scope for enhancements. I remember the 360 when it first came out being very basic in terms or multimedia fuctionality, it's unrecognizable now. Both systems have huge scope for the future, it's exciting stuff.

As far as I can tell, the only reason to buy Xbox 1 is Forza 5. Everything else I've read has seriously put me off...

PS4 for me too, but i'll not be getting it at launch.

I have a ps3 currently but it's not used a whole lot: bit of GTA, Red Dead Redemption, Gran Turismo, etc

If you include the price I paid for my TV then my PC was cheaper.

My laptop is for work, PS3 is for games/Blu Rays. SO PS4 it is.

Think i'm going to give the xbox a chance because the 360 was great.

I voted Xbox one even though I won't be buying it straight away.

The DRM thing doesn't bother me in the slightest and I will just turn the Kinect off. It is the gaming experience that I hope to be that big step on from the 360.

Xbox live has been excellent and a complete bargain at ~ £40 per year. Also much prefer the controllers.

^^^^This

X box controllers much easier for me, personally, but my PS3 gets more useage, mostly as it's set up as the house media server. Halo is rather good fun though..

Shame the companies can't get a "cross network" thing going on with the likes of COD etc. That might be fun.

Not really. This is a poll asking which new gen console you are buying. Not really a question of whether you are a console or of gamer.

You have got a space in the poll, you can say which of the two new consoles, if any, you're likely to buy. If you're not planning on buying one then don't vote, simple.

This poll is about which consoles people are going to buy - PC talk is banished herewith tongue out

Anyway - looks like there is going to be serious tumbleweed blowing down the halls of XBOX Live. I had better get used to talking to myself I guess...

Where's the option for both? I could tick two, but all it's doing is bumping up the numbers on either side and not indicating that I'm a polygamous gamer.

Probably PS4, but I'll not be buying first gen this time after all the bks with RROD and YLOD with the 360 and PS3.
