useful when its foggy fit a light down there and follow the white line also great for ventilation saves you opening the window as far to cool down wink
Why not get a trimmer to knock you up a replacement not a big job.

Sure, a trimmer could make one and, if it comes to it, so could I. But far easier to purchase a ready-made one.

An MGB rubber gearlever gaiter inverted (pointed end sits on the gearbox) using the the MGB crome surround to hold the wide end in place onto the fibreglass, works well as a seal. All available on ebay as used items. You can then fit any vinyl/leather gaiter attached to the trim board without worrying about how it seals.

I fitted a Mk4 Cortina one on mine, it was a rubber convoluted one with a square base that just slips under the carpet. Looked better than a leather sock

Maybe time I drip fed a few more pic's in now it is basically finished. MOT'd, and Suspension all setup, insured / registered - not driven it yet, bar 400M with the bonnet off on a private road (MOT place) - fairly DAFT smile
