Love the CLS but felt it was lacking something!

Love the look, waiting for the usual criticism.

Are they the wheels off a CL?

Looks great IMO.

my main criticism is that the photos make the car look like it's half the length it should be - could you upload some decent pics? smile

They look like replicas of some sort, but looks good.

Did they ever fit 20's on a CLS?

The only criticism is the lack of a beefy rear end to match those exhausts! Looks really good but the AMG kit is needed IMO smile

No, 19" are the biggest fitted as standard. These are genuine AMG III's from an S Class.

photos don't do the car justice - not sure about the chrome ears - look a bit tacky to me, body coloured would be more stealthy

Apologies, its the perspective of the pictures and centre caps that make them look a bit flat/fake.

I remember first time I seen one:

Looked cool then, looks cool now!

EDIT: I'd remove the chrome, make it black, and leave wheels as they are...WOW

Hopefully pics are better perspective:

You need to see the mirrors for real, they are not cheap covers but full Merc housings, well I like them ;-)

Looks good, but could do with the fronts spaced out about 10/15mm and the rears 20mm so they fill the arches a bit better.

Wheels suit the car though!

Yeah, agree with the comments over the mirrors - doesn't matter if they were £1million and signed by the Queen, they're still chrome mirrors. Even the brushed Audi ones that everyone copies look a bit nasty, and they're not half as blingy!

I'm guessing the offset of the donor car is different as they look lost in the arches. Definitely need some spacers!

Nice looking car mirrors aside!

These pics were pre spacers, original wheels were ET43, S class is ET22 (or similar) so have fitted 20mm H&R Track + Hubcentric spacers, superb quality!.

I'll get some better pics at the weekend for anyone interested.

I trawled the net and have seen a couple of pics of CLS's with 20" AMG wheels on but no details of what vehicle the wheels came from, what was required o make them fit etc. Hope this will be useful for anyone wanting to do a similar thing?
