The wiper motor on my project cerbera has got very hot at some stage and the windings have melted, looking at the alternative parts list it says a mini wiper motor but the variation in 29w to 14w for the mini seems extreme. Has anyone fitted a wiper motor from a mini with success or from another vehicle that they can recommend, I have a land rover One but the shaft with the worm drive is shorter. Or does anyone have a used one for sale?

If you want to re furb your 29w, Adrian@ on here re builds them. I think he is the only person who does.

As for a 14w it works and is a straight swap but the biggest sweep they do is 130 degree.

Many thanks for the info, have sent Adrian an email to find cost of refurb.
I am unsure as to why the motor on mine has got so hot, the cable is free and the wheel boxes both turn freely, which is a concern as I obviously don't want to burn another out.
Has anyone tried the Jag XJ series 3 motor using the original Cerbera gearbox? Looking at the link above the motor looks the same but then so does the Land rover defender pre td5 it is only the worm gear is shorter in length that is different due to the size of the gear as it doesn't have as bigger wipe.

Would be interested to know the price of the refurb as my wiper motor seems to have gone on the blink

Been quoted just over £175 for a reconditioned exchange unit, that's as far as I have got with it so far.
