Quick questions for those who have already spec'd or in the process of.

I am going into mayfair to finalise my spec this morning and as I only secured my car by pure chance I haven't looked into the musts at all.

Was going to go standard black, bucket seats, No additional leather, carpets, dimming rear view mirror and rain sensor PCM and Phone.

Will the standard light be ok as there are 2 or 3 options. Xenons are standard right?

Cruise control?? I will use mine for some longer autoroute trips.

Is there only the standard wheel option. Chris Harris mentioned the car he drove had 20 inch upgrades.

Cheers for the help.

I am sure the best people to advise are not forum members here :-)

I would say buckets, full leather and the lift system is a must have and red seat belts.

Those wheels and xenons are standard.

I suggest you read the existing 30+ page thread which has discussed the pros and cons of just about every option for the 991 GT3!

mine is on the 1st production month and there is no suspension lift. Not a problem for me however.

I think I have gained more clarity off here than from my Porsche OPC if I'm being honest LOL!

it's being supplied in the EU and that's what they are telling me about the suspension.

As mentioned theres a thread for prospective 991 gt3 buyers which has covered pretty much every extra available including a debate on leather covered rear-view mirror..

Went for

Black
Standard Seats
PCM
Phone
Dimming RV Mirror
90 Litre Tank
Sports Chrono Pack (apparently a must, i'm not so sure!!)
Floor Mats

Pretty sure the standard headlight will be fine for me
I the bucket seats but won't be going on track with this car whilst I own it and the mrs is going to struggle to see over the dash anyway!!

Does the 90 Litre tank make much difference to the luggage capacity?

I didn't know a bigger tank was an option?

I think that is just a Europe option, it was mentioned in the press pack.

Yes they are!!

Lighting system
"Like its predecessor, the new 911 GT3 has Bi-Xenon headlights including dynamic headlamp levelling and a headlight cleaning system as standard."

Unfortunately yes - I'd love a 90l tank for genuine 500+ mile range!

Personally I would go for either the bucket seats or the full adaptive ones, but that's your call!

Unlike most PDK cars, I don't think that Sports Chrono is such an essential option for the 991 GT3 as I think most of the extra features for normal 991s are standard on the GT3. Having said that it's not an expensive option, so if you don't mind the clock on the dash then you won't regret including it.

PDLS is worth having .. go for the £477 option. The £797 is the same thing but light with black highlights. £477 is already quite dark.

PDLS works really well.

In addition, you can change to LHD using the control stalk .. not possible on standard Bi-Xenon.

This is very useful when driving on the continent and not wanting to upset the Gendarmes before even starting to speed.. All done from your inboard computer. I have it on my 991 and it is under brilliant.
