Well now I have gone and done it, turned my V8 Vantage into a keeper!!

Having originally purchased my Vantage in October 2011 from a AM dealer as a low mileage, one owner, immaculate condition car with a great colour combination it is now a true sports car!!

Last summer I had the well known BR exhaust headers, cats and air intake upgrade combined with a lightened flywheel and clutch upgrade and the results as I reported were truly staggering without mentioning the glorious noise she makes.

Following a long conversation with Mike and a breath taking passenger ride with Adrian in Jessica this spring I decided to have the suspension and brakes upgraded this makes the car a keeper.
As you can imagine I thought long and hard on this stage as it meant that I will have spent nearly enough to have bought an early DBS!!
Apart from the fact that a DBS will not fit in my garage I really like the looks and size of the Vantage, having made my decision the work has been done and I can only say WOW !!!!!!!

The suspension in comfort is so compliant it feels more comfortable than the standard suspension but also grips far more making the car flow better on uneven and off camber roads (most of the UK then! ) find a stretch of smooth and rare tarmac press sport and it feels more like a race car.

The brakes don’t feel too different under normal driving conditions however when you push on the feel and progression is superb even under aggressive hard braking the ABS is very reluctant to step in making progress so much more flowing.

So now I have a Vantage that is definitely a keeper so where do I go next did someone say 5.0L !!

A big thank you to Mike and his team I know there are a lot of knockers of BR on here but I have only had positive experiences with them.
When the conversion was being done they carried out a mini service and check over, they also re-calibrated the Exhaust valves to only open at 5,500RPM making quite mode more like a stealth one.
BR have also offered to re-check the geometry and make sure everything is all OK after I have done a few miles still have not thought of a name for her yet she is definitely female as she has stolen my heart.

Sounds great Mark, congrats. I am not sure that there are too many BR knockers on here, I think it is mainly to do with cost. I believe people get hung up on price and not always value wink. When a company puts that much effort into development of their own parts, that they then have them manufactured to their own exacting standards, it costs more. However as you can testify the results are amazing yes Parts can be made cheaper or purchased off the shelf, but they may not deliver the results. That is not to say that competition is not a good thing; it is. It keeps everyone on their toes......

On my upgrades, Mike and the boys developed the parts and then changed / modified exhausts to suit. What they have is a well proven set of parts with sound that can be tuned to the individual. Personally I think the service was excellent.

Enough of the PR work for BR now or I will be dubbed Fanboy AGAIN. All they need to do is invest in someone to answer emails and phone calls wink I seem to remember that being the only issue anyone has yes The price of success I guess...

Mark , you have not got Purdey spec! Your car is now transformed. Hang on in there then go for the 5ltr job. Purdey's replacement is itching to get enhanced A.S.A.P.
