IIRC is it you that had the cerbera throttle pot?? If so, was it easy to adapt (assuming it isn't a straight swap for the crap £50 Ford throttle pot that lasts 2 minutes!!) ...Missus drove car yesterday and all over the place......Probably only had the new throttle pot for about 100 miles or so. Any help appreciated.

Form what I've seen of the Cerbera TP it just requires re soldering around 3 connections. ACT sell them.

Hi

I fitted the alternative Cerbera 4.2 type TP and it's fine now, I think the main difference is the temperature it can tolerate. I obtained mine from Walldonway TVR in Larkfield (Kent), their telephone
number is 01732 870386, the part number is E1586 costing just £22.24 inc postage, this is also less than half the price of the standard S type TP.

No differences in the connections, both are exactly the same.

Cheers,
KS2

I don't know of anyone who has had any problems on an S after fitting a Cerbie TP. So, should be fine. Mine's already lasted longer than the last ordinary one I fitted!

I think it was because he had a run of TPs that failed repeatedly.

KentishS2 is no more. For some reason he's asked for his profile to be deleted.

I dealt with that. He didn't seem put out by it.

Oh well, his loss

I notice his car is up for sale too.

well I know it had done a fari few miles but looked very good from the photos. The modifications he had done looked pretty professional too. Cannot say I have seen the car for myself, but I would certainly say its worth a look.

Aww bugger, hope he's ok.

Seems like a great guy.

Wish him all the best anyway. Hopefully see him about again in the future.

I think it may have been my suggestion in the first place. That was passed on in turn from Johno et al and the old S club members. Johno fitted a cerb one after going through upteen Ford ones. No adverse effects, other than it was cheaper, and didnt break within a few months. He is still a member on PH (albeit with a griff) and would imagine he would be happy to answer any queries you have via e-mail.
