350i boot lid wanted

Hello,

Does anyone have a 350i boot lid laying around that they want to sell? Can be a bit tatty as I want to chop it about for an experiment!

I'm based in Ipswich, Suffolk and could collect.

Hi Dan

Which model 350i is yours as a S1 and S2 boots are different and by some way!

I am in Cambs and have two or three.

Hello guys,

Mine is a series 2. I don't mind if it has the holes for a 400SE type spoiler either as I will most likely mount mine on it.

Incidentally, my 350i was with your yellow racer at the Zolder TVR press day, back in around 1987. Seems the cars had matching D43X VFR registrations. The racer had D433, which also once belonged to an S1 press car...

Do you have any pics of the cars. I have some video of the car at Zolder but it does not appear to have a reg number. I would be interested in the details of it showing its reg etc.

Right at the beginning you see the yellow racer and my car with a couple of people getting into it. At 1:10 you can see your car and the D433 VFR registration. Also at the event was another 350i with D435 VFR, and mine is D436 VFR.

If you have the Haynes TVR Ever the Extrovert book (with a blue Vixen on the front cover), then on pages 84-85 there is a red S1 with D433 VFR as the reg number.

Maybe TVR did some number plate switching on their press cars...

Wow - got this on a random search for D435VFR - a 350i i bought from the North London dealer.
It was the Pioneer stereo show car but unfortunately just had big holes where the speakers should have been!
Bought it in 1988/89 and only had it a year or so until swapping for a 944.
Great fun to drive and I still have the original article from the Independent with the car outside a stately home.
