Evening all,
Over the weekend I have collected my first adventure into the wonderful world of classics.... tractors that is.
After much thinking, I decided I needed a project that could withstand the great British outdoors, and after always having an itch for a fergie, decided to try one for myself.
I've got a tatty looking Diesel TEF-20, the engine is sweet, the bodywork is a little tires, and they hydraulic system isn't working.
Can anyone recommend a forum to try.... I have come across a few different ones, but don't know where to start really.
Have bought the Haynes book, which isn't at all what I was expecting - so still none the wiser.
I'm sure there will be lots more questions being fired over the next few months....

I had a TVO Ferguson myself. Fun wee tractor to start out on. Everything's dead simple to work on. Just don't get sucked into the 'Ferguson Grey' argument lol. Always regret selling mine but I needed cash at the time. Currently have a David Brown 990 Implematic. Total disaster, doesn't do what it's supposed to and does things it isn't supposed to lol. Also working on a Ford 4000 Force. Just finished rebuilding the engine. Going to start into a complete rewire next then sort the bodywork out. Men have cars, real men have tractors
My advice to you is to get out to classic machinery shows and start talking to people who have built them, you'll find people are very willing to talk about them, what they have done and you can learn a lot.

Thanks for the suggestions - when you know where to look, there seems to be a lot of info about.
Crashy, I will put some photos up at the weekend, and will take plenty of the work I'm doing. Bought it as a nice little project to do in the evenings whilst working away -so should keep me out of trouble for a while.

Just about covers everything to do with grey Fergies and more.
Used their services to verify to DVLA the age and identity of my TEF20 and had it road registered, with a 6 digit 1954 number in about 20 mins!
Plus regular glossy mags featuring tractors that are usually far too clean!
