Creaking 944 S2 sunroof

The sunroof in my '89 944 S2 creaks frequently on every trip and is the only real annoyance in an otherwise solid interior.

Does anyone have any advice on a potential solution?

Retightening all screws may help but it can also come from the mechanism if it's not holding the roof with enough strength (broken sprockets).

My car has this problem too but it disappears as mysterioulsy as it appears and I never found worth touching anything.

Mine squeaks from the drivers side front hinge, was advised to literally grease it when I next take the roof off - which I haven't done yet...
