I've noticed that my internal blower now comes on as soon as I turn the ignition. I can't seem to turn it off. I thought I noticed this when I last drove her (about a week ago). Basically the blower automatically comes on at low power. If When I press the variable blower switch, it works normally (but obviously won't switch off).

Any ideas?

Hi Chris, Its not the cold air blower on the drivers side on is it? If your main blower is on permanently then its getting a feed to it from somewhere. On the earlier chims the fans are on the same fuse as the dash electrics or it may just be the switch playing up.
Hope this makes sense to you.

I had this after a bit of engine tidying. Turns out I replaced the cable connector to the otter switch the wrong way round. Try just flipping the connector over and see if that makes a difference.

Can't find that switch, near the drivers knee? You're not referring to the fan override switch are you? I'm referring to the heater blower, not the radiator fans.

Help appreciated.

Only the older cars had the extra blower switch by your right knee

Must of been something else , it would make no difference unless you have some sort of modification However it seems this is about the heater fan, not cooling fans.
