The annual Le Mans last minute fettling crisis!
Discussion
Probably not quite in the same league as last years - engine out for an inaccessible core plug 4 days before the ferry - but has been emotional...
I'd had the steering column out to sort the bushes - that overran due to some wiring fun (I love black wires...), then my later than planned MOT resulted in poor handbrake and front brake imbalance.
Cleaning, regreasing and re-routing the handbrake made a big improvement but the hoped for improvement in brake balance didn't come from just using it. Hmmmm.
So, a last minute dash to Rimmers armed with a sticky caliper, a sort through their selection to ensure it was the correct one and the purchase of a Gunson Eezibleed (why didn't I have one of those before? Great bit of kit). Result - a shiny MOT certificate.
Many thanks to Adrian@ for the advice
Never in the history of MOT testing has a 3000M handbrake ever before been described as "brilliant"
I shall now start thinking about packing!
