starting problems

hi folks
Doing my good deed for the day,i went to my mates to try to start his chim.
Its been stood for about four months
Ichecked fuel delivery ,that was fine,spark at the plugs which i thought were a bit weak.
The main problem is ,i disconected the battery earth and the ecu.On reconetion the alarm went off winkers flashing ect.I tried zapper fob ,nothing.Was then told that they had never been used ever .So how do i turn the alarm off,disconecting the battery doesent help as the back up alarm is still sounding.

Maybe put a new battery in the zapper.

Is the battery not charged, if its low then this can trigger the alarm.
