Classic Car shows 2013

I feel like going to some shows this year. Only as a visitor. Does anybody have a list of up and coming shows that they could share with me? I am in the Midlands, so anything local would be much appreciated.

Nice,i also love to attend such shows and admire the classic cars.IT will be really nice if some one can share the list of events here so that we can plan accordingly and don't miss the car shows.

Well Stoneleigh is fairly local to me so I'll give it a try. Nice to come across a show that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get in. £5/car is very reasonable, if its that bad I can go the scenic route home!

I couldn't possibly comment on the show but the local Bears had a good few cars there offering Sporting Bears Dream Rides (see above) if you could find us tucked out of sight around a corner

the club's back there again this year and no doubt now the organisers know what the club is all about and we can be offered they'll give the club a much more prominent location

Depends when you went, Sunday is the best day for plenty of cars (around 2000 IIRC). Most of the cars go out on a run not just parked, so go early (before 10am on Sunday) or later, the cars start returning after lunch around 2pm-4pm.
Saturday will not see so many cars but a Wheelskills precision driving contest and a show and shine.
This is only the second yr at Stoneleigh so maybe more happening.

Admission is FOC for the public.

Shows so far this year aren't up to much either !

Bromley was a total waste of time And money, factor in the cost of fuel there from Essex, we were then held up and didnt get there untill 1.30 but were still then charged £28 quid admission for 2 of us, the over priced food and drink was shockingly awful and 2 traders i spoke to deeply regretted going, saying they would never go again .
I hadnt been for years it used to be good and was really looking forward to it but never again.

One of the best days out (small, local. eclectic) is Churchill village in the Cotswolds. Quality BBQ, beer tent, Jazz bands, WI sandwichs etc, a cross between a fete and a car show. Only run every other year so you will have to wait till 2014.a

Beaulieu sports car day this Sunday, any one going ?

Sounds like it cpuld be worth going to ? But a long trek for me and cost of fuel again, probably rules it out

I'll second that (as far as car shows go) and because it's in a wealthy area the raffle prizes are very good well they were the last time we went about 10 -12 years ago

I have to say the Coventry Festival of Motoring is a must. We have done it for many years (in a variety of cars) but, this year, we will skip it (too much else on and we cannot do everything!) What's unique about the CFoM is that it is primarily about driving the cars. I agree, Sunday is the day of the run so has the most cars. If you go to the park, go early or late to see them all leave or gradually arrive back. Alternatively, set yourself up in a lovely location along the route (preferably near a pub!) and watch the parade pass for several hours.

It is a great weekend (and free!)
