Long shot this, but I'm trying to source a phase 1 106. I'm looking to spend around £300-400, up to a max of maybe £450-500, and for that I'm basically after a decent 3 door shell, hopefully with a bit of tax and test. They're out there, but I keep missing them. Happy to travel, and I'm not worried about any mechanicals, as I have a full drivetrain ready to swap into it, it's the shell I'm interested in.

I've gone through most of what's advertised nationally on eBay / Autotrader / Gumtree / Car and Classic etc, and the 106 OC etc, however some regional PH'ers may know of some for sale that might not be advertised? After all, not everyone is going to pay autotrader £42 to sell a £300 car when they can stick a sign in the window.

Any tip offs gratefully recieved!

Ive recently got rid of a 106 GTi to auction for £200

I believe it went for £400 aswell - It was running fine but had failed its MOT and had 4 months tax which I claimed back.

Try the 106 rallye club, loads of shells kicking about on there
