Wondering if any of you have had anything done to rectify the heat soaking coming up through the gearbox, my car is a late 03 T350t.

I've been in touch with Hexham Horseless Carriages who have suggested an insulated gear stick. Has anyone done this and do you notice a significant improvement?

Is there anything else that can be done?
Thanks
Scott

Now that's a good question and a old one biggrin

Have been various threads on it in the past, the solution I used was a heat shield and a non conductive block at the base of the gear stick and just under the knob. I remember a thread which had details of a product someone had produced for it, but it was a limited run.

I got my T350c with decat pipes and it still got hot. I got a heatsink gearstick shaft off someone on PH that did a run of them and it worked a treat.

I've got both but in all honesty the heatsoak is pretty tremendous, the ceramic gearstick just stops the gearknob getting hot.
Air-con really helps!

Thanks for that. Has the heat shield worked?

I looked into getting air con but think it's £2k and have heard mixed reviews on it. Has anyone had an aftermarket air con install?

I was selling the heatsinks. They are made of Tuffnol. They do pop up occasionally in the classifieds. I doubt anymore will be made, unless there is a significant number of people wanting them. They do work a teat though!

This is what they look like:
